Our Story

   It all started from me picking weeds. No, seriously let me explain... At a time when I was having health issues and struggling to find joy I decided to go outside and pick weeds. As I started working, I popped in my headphones and began listening to an audiobook about the Danish way of living called Hygge. (pronounced hoo-ga)

   Hygge is the Danish art of creating joy and coziness in life's everyday moments. Studies on the Danes concluded they are the world's happiest people despite their long, harsh, and sun deprived winters. I was so inspired by this way of living I decided to start incorporating the Hygge lifestyle immediately. 

   I found that a lit candle, cozy blankets scattered around the house, or a warm drink to sip on made such a difference. If something gives you a feeling of coziness or joy it is referred to as being "Hyggely" (hoo-ga-lee)

   This is how the idea of Hyggely Home came to be. It is my mission to support others in their journey of joy. Hyggely Home thoughtfully curates and carefully sources products to support joyful moments and simple pleasures that make your soul happy.
